Shō-chan's Adventures

Shō-chan, a boy in a yellow pom-pom cap, and his best friend, a talking squirrel, do one small kindness for a sleeping dwarf and are pulled into a magical adventure: a tiny acorn boy called Donkichi, witches' songs, three castles under the moon, monsters to outwit and princesses to rescue. Adapted from Shō-chan no Bōken (The Adventures of Little Shō), the classic Japanese colour comic by Oda Shōsei (story) and Kabashima Katsuichi (art), first published in 1923; this season follows the 1926 book 正チャンの其後. Based on Shō-chan no Bōken (1923) by Oda Shōsei & Kabashima Katsuichi, public domain. An AI-made anime adaptation: AI-generated art, animation and narration, English.
